20th anniversary virtual event 26th September 2021
A virtual 20th birthday event celebrates the success of the school and looks to the future.
Includes performances by students and talks by honoured guests.

The school celebrated its 20th anniversary on Friday 24th September 2021.
A virtual celebration took place on Sunday 26th September 2021 to mark this occasion at 09:00EST, 14:00 BST, 18:30 IST, 21:00 HKT.

The event proved to be very enjoyable and many pledges of financial support were made on the day.

Seismic Upgrade and Mudslide Repair – year 5
Last year the majority of the construction of the third and fourth new Eco-Shower buildings was completed, with some work to be completed in 2021.
This year, year 5 of the Seismic Upgrade & Mudslide Repair programme, work started at the end of April 2021, with a small team and strict adherence to the prevention of transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
Without an Arup resident engineer being on site, daily suppport from the engineers through calls and the sharing of photographs has enabled the seismic upgrade of the fourth residence, named Singeyla, to start.

50 laps around the sun
Sean’s story – the school’s design team leader at Arup
I am fast approaching 50 laps around the sun this February!
Will you sponsor me? I am trying to raise £1000 per lap, to pay for the retrofit of one of the residences at the Druk White Lotus School. Following the mud slide in 2010 we have protected the site from future events with a protective wall. However, we later found that the mud slide had caused timber rot which has meant a major upgrade is required. Will you help retrofit one residence housing 50 students this 2021?
